About Amy
Who I Am I'm an instructional designer with a strong background in English, curriculum architecture, data analysis, and designing courses for diverse learners. With over 20 years in education and project management, including owning my own curriculum company, I have created interactive learning experiences for all ages.
What I Do I create thoughtful learning experiences and resources that help learners grow by employing effective Instructional Design Models such as ADDIE, SAM, and Merrill's First Principles of Instruction, along with proven Adult Learning Theories.
What I Bring I bring curiosity, a love of learning, and a drive for excellence to everything I do. I'm skilled at taking large amounts of information, synthesizing it, then identifying ways to present it effectively. I am also detail-oriented, very personable, and an excellent communicator.
Why I Love Instructional Design I love that it combines creativity with effective learning theories to address what the learner needs to be successful. I enjoy the needs analysis process, lesson development, and creating storyboards that clearly communicate where the process is headed so it can be refined.
